Ranch Resort in East Texas

Staff was amazing, cabin was impeccable and the property is breathtaking.

We are planning a third trip. This place is awesome and full of amenities and fun activities to do, imposible to get bored. Stacy, Shawn and Josh were very nice and patience with all our requirements. The bunk house has it all, game room, big family room, exterior picnic tables and chairs, space for everybody. Thanks

My family loved every moment at the ranch and bunkhouse with a game room – you will get to see all that nature has to offer by day, view the constellation systems at night, enjoy great conversations by the campfire and relax in the pool. It was a nice weekend getaway to disconnect from the world and reconnect with each other ! The attention to detail in the cabin was amazing , everything we needed for cooking was there and bathroom was fully stocked with shampoo body wash conditioner and even makeup remover wipes . We already are planning our next trip !

Whatever expectations I had were exceeded by 1000%. I wish we would’ve stayed longer. Immediately after you pay for the booking, Stacy sends you plenty of activities to do on the ranch and around Palestine. We decided to book horseback riding with Shawn and gourmet lunch with Pam. Both of the experiences were amazing! I definitely recommend horseback riding to experience the beautiful views of the ranch and animals. Also, Pam makes the best blueberry banana pudding…. ever. So happy that TikTok showed me this place and that Stacy decided to share this gorgeous ranch with the public. We’ll definitely be coming back. 🙂

Check in was a breeze because of the detailed instructions, the Air Stream was beautiful and so clean and had everything needed. Check in was especially sweet because we were greeted on the deck by sweet Clyde and the little orange ranch kitty cat (Shawn told us his name is Lucky). We enjoyed feeding Lucky so he hung out with us the whole time, lol. What a sweetie! I can’t say enough about the beautiful property – morning and afternoon drives on the UTV to see the trees, foliage and wildlife. And the gorgeous swimming pool! Manager Shawn was a pleasure to talk with and made sure we knew we could reach out if we needed anything. Thank you Stacy and Josh for sharing your incredible property! We’re so excited to come back very soon!

Loving and healing place to bring family.

Amazing host, great amenities, peaceful, and friendly environment. This place really makes you feel welcomed and like your an actual part of the place and not just a customer. Great location with everything you might need a short drive away.

Very close to the city so if you need something it’s a quick run but very quite and relaxing when your on the ranch!! Also amazing and attentive staff!

The place looks as pictured and the UTV trails to get around the property were easy. It is kept up with very nicely and they offer so many options for fun activities. The pool was very clean and perfect temp. It was a very relaxing time. The hosts were quick to respond as well. We will def be back with a group of friends. Thanks!

We took advantage of the beautiful pool, the boats at the lake, riding the trails and just enjoying the beautiful scenery. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The beds were comfortable and linens were clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked. The game room attached to the bunk house was a great place for games – lots of great memories were made this weekend! Thank you Stacy & Josh, and all other staff, for your friendliness and hospitality.

Such unique beauty on the ranch. This place is awesome for escaping reality and getting back in touch with nature. Good for the soul.

And I must say I do not regret making that choice at all. Stacy and Josh helped so much! I was allowed to predetermine a location to propose. And they were even willing to setup a whole surprise picnic for the occasion. It was perfect! My fiancé loved it! Stacy went above and beyond to make sure everything went according to plan and the setup was perfect! The property is stunning! All the extra activities (atvs, shooting, etc…) were super fun! The cabin was very cozy! We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend!

The accommodations were above and beyond and everyone was tremendous to help take care of you and be sure you had the best visit/experience. Will be back!!!!

I stayed in the Hoosier Airstream for a week while handling family business in Palestine. It was such a wonderful, peaceful place to come back to at the end of the day and the sunrise/sunsets were incredibly beautiful from the ranch! I had everything I needed and they checked in on me during my stay to make sure that I did. Shawn the ranch manager is so kind and helpful! And Stacy and Josh the owners were onsite when I arrived and were ready to greet me and show me around. They all have great love for this special place – and now I know why! So much to enjoy there – fun activities if you want them, and peaceful countryside if you want to just relax. Go!! You will love it! I’ll be back for sure! Thanks a bunch Stacy, Josh and Shawn!

We loved exploring the property on the ATV and the area is beautiful. Watching the deer from the porch was an added bonus. Stacy has done a great job making sure the cabin has just about everything you could possibly need for your stay – and then some! Everyone we encountered at the ranch was so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back!

They had party hats and and his favorite snacks all lined up and his name written on a chalk board! He was so excited about all of that. And then Shawn knew his name and that it was his birthday he was so shocked! Shawn went WAY above and beyond to make sure my son had a special birthday! It’s a trip we will never forget and I can’t wait to bring the rest of my family back!!! Thank you!

The airstream was clean and well decorated. We hardly left the property because there was so much to do. This couple thought of everything. We will be back!

You will not find a better spot to spend a nice weekend away. My wife and I stayed in the airstream and it was super clean and very roomy. I loved everything about this place. Book a stay now while you still can!! I can’t wait to come back!

Such a nice getaway from the routine. Cabin was clean and organized and tastefully decorated. Hosts have thought of everything! We enjoyed the campfire at night and the quiet! The views from the living room are amazing! We caught some bass in the lake. We rode the trails in the UTV. We shot at clay targets and had a blast! The pool and hot tub area is lovely. Hosts were excellent with communication and wanting to make sure all was well during our stay. Will stay again!

We enjoyed exploring the trails on the Polaris, taking the paddle boat out on the pond, and unwinding by the fire in the evenings. The airstream is so quiet & cozy, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The hosts were great—checking in on us multiple times throughout our trip. We had the most amazing experience at Dead Cat Ranch. This is truly a hidden gem!

All of the amenities offered are unbelievable! We stayed in the cabin and had amazing views and woke up to deers in the field. We went horseback riding which allowed us to see a different part of the property we wouldn’t of been able to see otherwise and it was beautiful (highly recommend). Everyone we encountered was so welcoming and wanted to make sure we were having the best time. Overall a great weekend getaway but definitely could of stayed for a week, as we weren’t able to get in all the fun activities. Can’t wait to go back!

This turned out to be exactly what we needed! Unplugged and relaxed! We were greeted by the property manager who filled us in on everything we needed to know. He later took us horseback riding (so worth it) around sunset. The lake is nice and away from everyone for some fishing, to read a book or just take in the views. Josh assisted us at the shooting range; which was nice considering it’s different from our typical indoor range back home. Lastly, Stacy did a great job with communication. She kept us updated, would check in often, and made sure we didn’t we didn’t go without. This was definitely worth the money! We can’t wait to go back with family next time.

We enjoyed so many things, riding the Polaris, having fires, fishing, watching the sun rise, ax throwing, swimming, ping pong and corn hole. No detail was missed with the planning of this country experience! So glad for the time there! Beautiful piece of Texas.

We personally know and love the Hosts and even as a stranger you’ll feel like part of the family with the love they pour into making your stay unforgettable. Take a morning hike and explore the property taking in all the beautiful scenery at a slower pace or get started with a ride on the ATV and get the adrenaline pumping ready to take on a great weekend. Chill by the pool, hang out in the clubhouse, grill with the family and end the night by a fire with endless laughs and yummy S’mores. Thank you for sharing a little slice of Heaven with us! The ability to ride around the property and see those views was appreciated and SO much fun! The lake was a big favorite along with the pool/hot tub. Seeing all the animals brings another level of peace to the whole trip. Awesome soft bed with pillows so great, I ordered them for myself. Stacy and Josh were awesome to meet as well as the ranch manager, Shawn. We had a great time shooting some guns with Josh assisting us like a pro and Shawn was always very nice and helpful with whatever we needed! We will be back to ride some horses and ATVs!

There are so many things that you can do on this property but riding the horses and ATV’s were by far my most favorite thing we did. There is SO much land to explore, and you really get the feeling of being away from city life. Stacy was very prompt in all communication and the ranch manager Shawn (also led our horse ride) was very sweet and super helpful. We can’t wait to come back and check out the cabin! It is so worth the money. The property is breathtaking and you have so much to see and do. The hammock was my favorite place to nap. I love going on the trails and being adventurous. The pool was awesome. All the little details were so thoughtful. I didn’t need to leave my entire stay. If you are thinking about booking it, JUST BOOK IT ALREADY. You will have an amazing time. I can’t wait to come back!

We loved our cabin but couldn’t stay indoors. We did the ATV rentals to explore tons of nature on the trails. The lake was our favorite where we fished and rode on the paddle boat. We also grilled and ended our adventure at the pool and in the hot tub to enjoy the stars. Many thanks to Stacy for welcoming us in and Shawn for answering our questions. They truly know how to treat guests.

The airstream was perfectly decorated and comfortable. The deck and area outside was perfect in the evening. We loved being able to use the included side by side and enjoy the beautiful ranch. So many amenities to enjoy, you could be here for a month and never get bored. After fishing and riding trails all day, the pool and hot tub definitely finished the day off perfectly. Stacy was a great host and Sean was so helpful! We can’t wait to go back with our entire family! This place is a gem and if it has an open date, book it right then! Don’t hesitate because as soon as word gets out, it will be booked a year in advance!

If you’re looking for somewhere, anywhere, this is it! I’ve stayed at many, many Airbnb’s over the years and this one takes the #1 award for everything from cleanliness to amenities to entertainment and everything between. The photos really don’t do this place justice to the beauty of all the hills and open fields of flowers on this property. My kiddo particularly enjoyed all the miles of trails to explore on the UTV, that was a blast. Thank you Dead Cat Ranch for opening up this incredible property to the public, we seriously cannot wait to come back!

Beautiful decorated, had all that you could ever need and on top of that, stunning views! It was almost like a ranch resort. You didn’t really need to ever leave the property unless you wanted to. Having your own ranger to explore their beautiful ranch was an absolute pleasure!! The pool was perfect and peaceful. I just can’t express how breath taking this Ranch was for us. Something out of a painting. As hosts, Stacy & Josh went way over and beyond to help me surprise my husband for his birthday. This was definitely a special and memorable birthday for him. Thank you so much for that. We definitely look forward to coming back! ❤️️❤️️❤️️ 10 stars if I could!

We enjoyed everything from relaxing on our porch, to relaxing in the hot rub and then we relaxed in the pool. Riding the trails in the UTV and being able to explore the acreage and watch the wildlife was a huge highlight for us. The cabin was very spacious, well-stocked and tucked away perfectly for a very private feeling. Everyone else can go to Broken Bow, we’re going to Dead Cat Ranch!

The Dead Cat Ranch was just the place. Everything was perfect. The owners, workers, and manager were all super nice and very very accommodating. I was injured a month before we made this trip and almost had to cancel. The owner upgraded our camper that I had reserved to one of the cabins to better suite our needs for free. (…) Thank you Dead Cat Ranch for everything. You all made our stay one that we will not forget. We will be back!

We stayed here for 2 wonderful nights and fell in LOVE! If your looking for a break from city life, to blow of some steam or just some R & R, this is THE SPOT!!!!

The fishing was awesome used a top water lure at the edge of the lilly pads having a Polaris ranger to tour the property and the pool was by far my son’s favorite. All in all you cannot be the price any where else for what’s provided at this ranch .

the ranch offers a handful of activities included in your stay plus extra ones at a very reasonable price. 100% worth the money, I’ll definitely come back later in the year 😎

Lots of wildlife and scenery. We stayed in the cabin, it was really clean and had nice touches. The hosts are very communicative and lovely people. We had no complaints about our stay.

We came out here from Dallas and stayed for the weekend after thanksgiving and had a blast! We used their UTV/side by sides and explored the whole property, sat out by the fire pits at night, and just relaxed on the couch for some much needed disconnecting from the city.. The countryside provided the perfect environment for resting and recharging! Can’t wait to come back!

We spend a weekend at this lovely ranch. The place has everything you need for a little getaway. Horse riding was fun withShawn. The horses are well trained and they were easy to ride. Worth every penny.

It was perfect for my 3 kids, my grandson and myself. We rode horses, went target shooting, enjoyed riding the property and also enjoyed an in cabin massage. It was the perfect getaway to just lay back and relax!

The cabin was spacious. We adopted “Lucky” (the cat) during our stay. Clean! Plenty of activities! Lots of land to explore! Shawn was awesome!
